Kill The “Nice Guy,” In Your Writing

I’ve made this dreaded mistake within my writing for years.

But here’s the kicker.

I didn’t even realize I was thus, making this mistake until I was told that my writing was coming off creepy and manipulative… being a nice guy.

Ouch.

Not something very last thing that to hear, especially copywriters and content driven businesses.

Which brings me to my point.

This is usually a mistake a large number of content driven businesses, email driven businesses and copywriters make and never even be aware of it.

The dreaded nice guy mistake.

Writing in a very passive voice.

Think for this about the “Nice Guy,”

When you’re being “nice,” to someone your not being yourself. Your to be a manipulative little weasel since you want something through the other person. And those around the receiving end within your kind gestures notice it, feel it and dread it.

When you’re that “nice guy,” you finish last.

And you know what? Your readers could see that “nice guy,” within your writing. And that style of writing is referred to as writing in the passive voice.

But that’s not it…

Your ideas become lost, you won’t speak in a very direct voice, and you also lose all of your power inside your writing making your call to action weak.
